Club Immigration, MPL and Police Club won the second round of Group Stage matches to make their way to the semi-final of 18/30 Women’s Futsal Fiesta 2019.
Club Immigration recovered from a goal deficit in the first half, with a magical display from Fadhuwa Zahir to defeat Fenaka 5-1.
Mahnaz Alizadehmiandasteh placed a low shot to the far corner from the right flank to take the lead for Fenaka. Immigration was unfortunate to score in the first half after several missed opportunities.
Fadhuwa scored four goals in the second half, netting her second hat trick of the tournament. Rani Mulyasari made it 5-1 to make a smooth passage to the semifinal.
In the other match of the group, MPL defeated Club WAMCO 3-1 to make their way to semi-final along Immigration.
Sahar Zamanifard scored a brace and Fathmath Joozaan Zareer scored the other goal for MPL. Aishath Sama scored the only goal for the WAMCO.
In Group-B action, Police Club defeated Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) dramatically to make their early bird booking in the semifinal.
Shawitree Mamyalee (Kakkaa) and Sheeneez Mohamed (Shiminy) took the lead for Police Club inside the opening five minutes of the game. Sohila Malmoulitarazi then equalized for DSC, before Sawitree of Police took the lead again.
Sohila completed her hat-trick halfway through the second half. However, Police took the lead once again, this time from a goal by Sakuna Sena, in the extra time to seal the match.
Trade Club defeated Fen Club 8-0, to keep on track in advancing to the semi. Their clash between DSC on Thursday will be the deciding match of the group, to book a semifinal spot.
